The municipal political leaders and the expert technical commission in charge of organizing the commemorative exhibition of the Centennial of the City "Totana, in centesimo anno suo" have decided to dismantle the exhibition during the day to avoid damage to the works by leaks or before the possible risk of flooding of the room that shelters it as a result of the cold drop forecast.
The exhibition has been open since October 4 and the intention was to maintain it until the 28th of the same month, but given the threat of torrential rains and since the municipal room "Gregorio Cebrián" is located in a basement you want to avoid, by all means, that municipal and private property works suffer irreversible damage and irreparable damage.
The organization regrets this situation given to advance its closure a week earlier than expected given the circumstances, in addition, the high degree of acceptance that this unique show had had in Totana since its inauguration.
In fact, more than 600 people have visited it within the cultural events organized to celebrate this event.
During the day today municipal workers will remove all the works that made up the sample, which will be reintegrated in the various municipal offices and delivered, where appropriate, to their owners to avoid greater evils.
The exhibition was a journey through the creative identity of some of its notable architects throughout this century in Totana (1918-2018), whose particular works have been ceded for this occasion by family members and exceptional witnesses of the protagonists.
This ambitious project was framed within the ten of varied activities that complete the program of cultural and social events scheduled by the Department of Culture to culminate the last quarter of the Centennial of the City 1918-2018, and held between the months of September and December of this year.
The exhibition was a unique and exclusive opportunity to enjoy through the figure of painters and sculptors who have covered the last stage of our local history in this century.
