The days July 25 (Santiago Apóstol) and December 10 (Santa Eulalia) are the local festivities for the year 2019 in the municipality of Totana, as recalled the Department of Celebrations of the City of Totana.
The Council of Citizen Participation promoted, at the beginning of this summer, between the end of June and the beginning of July, a participatory process of neighborhood consultation, responding to the plenary agreement of September 28, 2017.
A total of 221 citizens participated in the consultation, of which 21 did so face-to-face while 200 did so in the online mode;
being 57% women and 36% men, aged mostly between 30 and 49 years.
Of the valid votes cast, 199 corresponded to December 10 (Santa Eulalia), 129 to July 25 (Santiago Apóstol), April 44 to 25 (San Marcos) and the rest to other minority options.
With this initiative, it was intended to designate local party dates for the next work year.
To this end, a consultation was held through telematic and face-to-face collection instruments, to designate the two local holidays that are preferred from a range of possibilities.
In addition, the non-working days for work purposes throughout the regional scope for the year 2019 do not coincide with Sunday are a total of 12 holiday dates.
These are January 1 (New Year), Epiphany of the Lord (January 7), March 19 (San José), Holy Thursday and Good Friday (April 18 and 19), Labor Festival (May 1), Region Day (10 June), Assumption of the Virgin (August 15), National Holiday of Spain (October 12), All Saints (November 1), Constitution Day (December 6) and Nativity of the Lord (December 25).
