The Municipal Government of the City of Totana has urged the Management of the Fire Fighting Consortium of the Region of Murcia to consider the qualification of Fire Zone Zone to the current Local Park of Totana-Alhama, increasing the number of troops to 5 firefighters daily, as well as the necessary material endowment for the complete functioning of the same.
The current Local Fire Park of Totana and Alhama covers a large territorial and population area in continuous growth.
In addition, some bordering municipalities, such as Librilla and Aledo, are also recipients of this service, which means that in many cases the current staff of three firefighters in said park is clearly insufficient to deal with the emergencies that occur.
This request has been made after being approved, unanimously in full session;
and it is maintained that a clear example of this controversy is the municipality of Mula, which has the same template for much less territory and population.
Precisely, the current accreditation of this infrastructure with the qualification of "Local Park" condemns this territory to have this number of staff in the template, so the step of cataloging it as "Zone Park" would allow, as Caravaca or Yecla, for example, will have 5 firefighters per day.
For the municipal government, the current allocation, and despite the timely support and when possible of the neighboring parks, is clearly insufficient.
