The Reading Animation program, organized by the Municipal Library "Mateo García", counted during the past academic year 2017/18 with the participation of 2,003 students of the Totana educational centers, in the period from Infant Education to the sixth year of Primary Education, respectively.
The programming corresponding to this school year started at the end of October with the activity "After the track", aimed at students of 5 ° of Primary Education;
and ended at the end of last May with the Storyteller "Bouncing Stars" for Infant Education of 5 years.
Throughout the whole school year, the activities carried out were: "Rimando, singing with Gloria Fuertes" for primary school students;
"I go with me" for sixth grade students, "Tales of a thousand colors" for fourth grade students, "Pirate's treasure" for second grade students, "Échale teatro" for third grade students and " Nico and Sinra "for sixth grade students in Primary.
This last activity "Nico and Sinra" has been carried out by the author, psychologist and editor Aurelia García.
With this story the author tells us how to face our fears.
In the month of April, the star activity was "I am going with me".
Storytelling about self-esteem.
This activity was attended by different groups, such as the Day Centers "José Moya Trilla" and "Princess Leticia", the students of the Spanish workshop of Murcia Acoge, the students of the adult school, the housewives of the Three Birds María, Cultural Association of the Totanera Woman;
in addition to the students of sixth of the schools.
From the library we want to thank all the teaching centers that attend the proposed activities and all the groups that visited us.
The Department of Culture is already preparing the program of activities for the next year.
