The construction of the new park in the neighborhood of San José, framed in the Plan of Works and Services of 2017, will continue during the month of August so that they can be completed during the first weeks of next September. , after they have gone on for several months, according to the Councilor for Works and Infrastructures, Víctor Balsas.
The company responsible for carrying out this action has been "Talleres y Conducciones Juanito SL" and have a final budget of 103,052.48 euros.
The financing of the budget for these works is mostly borne by the Autonomous Community and the totanero Consistory itself.
The neighbors of Totana chose in their day the construction of this new infrastructure within the framework of the campaign "You choose", which was promoted by the councils of Citizen Participation and Services to the City and Infrastructures.
The councilman Víctor Balsas has shown his satisfaction for the fact of giving continuity in summer to a necessary action and thus end in September the works of this infrastructure, demanded for years by the residents of that neighborhood.
In addition, the Plenary Session of the City Council of Totana approved last July a proposal from the Mayor's Office to start the file that allows giving the name of Ginés Sánchez Cánovas "El Palomo" in the green areas and playground of the San José neighborhood.
The proposal signed by the councilor, Andrés García, came to respond to the petition presented by the Neighborhood Association of the neighborhood of San José on June 19, 2018 in which that initiative was proposed.
