The Local Government Board has recently approved the proposal of the Councilor for Citizen Security and Traffic, Agustín Gonzalo Martínez, to convert the two sections of the streets Gonzalo Torrente Ballester in one-way sections according to the direction of circulation (center of the road to the left).
This initiative will be carried out following the technical reports of the Local Police of Totana and at the request of the communities of owners and neighbors of buildings of this street located in the area of the Rambla del Cementerio.
So, this road is going to regulate, on its left margin, accessing it from the street Alcantarilla, to and until Santa Rita street-Camino del Cementerio.
In addition, in its right margin, this street would be accessed from Santa Rita-Camino del Cementerio (next to Floristería Riquelme) to and until Alhama Street, since it has no access from Juan Carlos I avenue.
In addition, since there is no physical space delimited for pedestrian traffic, its creation is proposed in order to minimize the risk of pedestrian traffic to the exit of homes and buildings, as well as the parking of vehicles that hinder access to them.
Therefore, metallic bollards are placed on both sides on the right side according to the direction of circulation, 1.5 meters from the facades and separated by two meters.
Likewise, the corresponding and necessary horizontal signage will be painted on the street, as well as the placement of the relevant vertical signs that guarantee road safety for drivers and pedestrians in this area of the urban area.
