About unauthorized publication
Regarding the publication, without my authorization, of one of my watercolors in the Fiestas Patronales de Santiago 2018 program, I would like to state the following:
1. Totana is a city that I have approached on numerous occasions because I am interested in its history, its heritage, its landscape and its traditional ceramic industry with which I have contacts.
Therefore, I have painted a lot about it, which has made it a city that I know and love.
2. The publication of my watercolor, which represents the church of Santiago, seems to me a conscious decision to be violating my rights as owner.
Nobody has contacted me to ask me if my publication is to my liking or if I like the design, my authorship is not even mentioned.
A graphic arts company knows perfectly the legislation and knows what is the procedure for the use of images of others.
3. I believe that the City of Totana should also control what is published on their behalf and make sure that the legislation regarding copyright with public money is not violated.
4. For all the foregoing, I announce that I will exercise my rights, as I have always done before similar facts.
