The Councilor for the Environment and Urban Solid Waste (RSU), Antonia Camacho, recalled that the service of collection of equipment and plant waste or pruning that are generated especially at this time of summer in different areas of the municipality and that It is provided free of charge throughout the year, requires the request of prior appointment to give notice of its withdrawal.
It has also reported that people who are interested have to request an appointment through the municipal telephone service 968-425308 in order that users are at home on the day of withdrawal.
During the summer weeks, the removal of plant waste from second homes is intensifying, especially in the urbanization "La Charca" and the areas of Los Huertos de Totana.
The councilor stressed that it is convenient for users to deposit the plant remains, if possible, in closed bags next to the plot of their property or residence in order to facilitate collection by the operators of the service.
Garbage deposit schedule
The Department remembers that the schedule for the deposit of garbage in summer is from 21:00 to 24:00 hours every day of the week except for Saturday night;
and warns that the Local Police can punish users who do them at odd hours.
The deposit of bags of solid urban waste in containers causes bad odors as a result of the high temperatures that are registered at this time of year, so the Department urges citizens to make a responsible and civic use of the withdrawal of waste in the containers.
