The Championship of Spain of Mountain 2018 moved to the lucky islands, more specifically to the island of Tenerife to contest the fourth scoring event of the contest after the celebration of the Andalusian climbs of Estepona and Ubrique, and the Asturian rise of El Fito.
There were three teams representing the Automobile Club Totana who made the long trip to the town of Guía de Isora, where they were going to measure with the best pilots of national panorama that follow the contest and the best island teams
In the first practice climb, José A. Sánchez at the controls of his BMW 328i suffered a road trip without any physical consequences for the driver, but that prevented him from continuing to participate in the test by not being able to repair the vehicle on time.
On the other hand Amador Nevado at the controls of the Seat León Super Cup MK II, got the best result of the Murcian expedition since after the selection of the best 2 times of the weekend, he got the first position in the N2 Group and the seventh absolute classification in the passenger cars section (Category III).
The third driver of the club that traveled to the Canary Islands, was David Cánovas Arias "Santero", who at the controls of his Renault 11 Turbo made a good performance in his first start to the Spanish Mountain Championship, getting classified in the 9th place of the E1 / FIA group and in the 24th absolute position of the touring car category of a total of 45 teams that finished the race.
The next round of the Spanish Mountain Championship will be held on the 14th and 15th of July in the Catalan Pyrenees on the occasion of the Ascent to Alp.
