Illes Novoa Santiago (trombone), Pedro José López Campos (flute), and Cristian Andres Sanchez Coliver (bassoon) are the three young winners of the Fellowship of music called by the Government of Aragon and Ibercaja for continuation of musical studies.

Tomorrow, April 29th, the winners will offer a special concert at Ibercaja Actur (C / Antón García Abril, 1, Zaragoza).

The performance will begin at 19:30 and entrance is free.

These young musicians have a high artistic and interpretive and highlights the high level they have shown.

The winners have competed for these grants for musical studies in a series of public concerts that were held last week on 20 and 21 April in the center Ibercaja Actur.

The jury was composed by Peter Purroy Chicot, director of the Conservatory of Music of Aragon, Antonio Jesús Pérez Roy, director of studies at the Conservatory of Music of Aragon, Dario Sierra Marta, a professor of the Conservatory of Music in Zaragoza, Luis Alfonso Bes Barriers, music critic for the newspaper Heraldo de Aragón, and Marisa Borao Mateo, director and Ibercaja Actur Ibercaja Zentrum, representing Ibercaja.

Ibercaja and the Government of Aragon grants for musical studies, for a total value of 99,000 euros, with the aim of supporting young musicians across the region.

15 scholarships are awarded on two levels: 9 scholarships for "Continuing Studies", € 5,000, and 6 for "Further Studies", € 9,000.

As in previous years, had access to aid musicians in Aragon, with ages up to 22 years for the first level and up to 26 for the second.

WINNERS

SANTIAGO NOVOA ILLES

Born in Oviedo in 1992.

Began his musical studies with Mark Malnero at 7 years at the Conservatory Juilan Orbón de Avilés.

Since 10 years private lessons with Daniel Perpignan, the current professor in the CSMA.

Winner of various competitions such as, Joaquin Maya (Pamplona) 2004, City of Llíria (2004), Xàtiva (2005), Brass Intercentros mode, and the prestigious Young Musicians in 2007, only 15 years, becoming the youngest winner in the history of the competition.

Among her solo concerts include: in 2004, plays the Concerto for Trombone and Orchestra, Ferdinand David by the OSPA.

He has toured around the Balearic Islands, Catalonia and Andalusia.

Its most outstanding international concerts were held in Berlin (Germany), Massa-Carrara (Italy) and Oslo (Norway).

JOSE LOPEZ PEDRO CAMPOS

Born in Totana (Murcia) and began his musical studies at the age of 8 years in the municipal school of music in the same city, then studies the Middle Grade José Fernández Vera at the Conservatory of Music "Narciso Yepes" in Lorca , obtaining the best results.

Has conducted training courses and masterclasses with teachers such as Peter Lukas-Graf, Barbara Rostnitcheck, Nora Lee, Claude Lefebvre, Alvaro Octavio, Jaime Vicens Prats and Martin, among others.

Belongs to orchestras as the Orchestra of the CSMA and JONDE and has also worked with the CSMA chamber orchestra "Camerata Aragon" and has participated in orchestral academies such as the Academy Neue Musik Bolzano (Italy).

Currently attends third grade at the Conservatory Superior of Music of Aragon (CSMA) with teachers and Antonio Gómez Fernando Nuez.

Coliver CRISTIAN ANDRES SANCHEZ

Born in Caracas in 1989 at the age of 10 he began his music studies at the National System of Youth and Children Orchestras of Venezuela getting the post of Prime Fagot of bands Orquesta Sinfónica Simón Bolívar, Orquesta Infantil Caracas Teresa Carreño Youth Orchestra, among others.

He studied bassoon with teachers Héctor Barrios, Jesus Acosta and Omar Ascanio.

He has had master classes with the Masters International: Stefano Canuti, Henning Trog, Laurent Lefèvre, Matthias Racz, George Sakakeeny.

He also participated in seminars with the Chamber Music for Wind Quintet Berlin Philharmonic, with teachers Walter Seyfarth, Henning Trog, Fergus McWlliams, Michael Hasel, Andreas Wittmann.

In 2007 he won the prestigious first prize at the Young Soloists in the Timber Festival held in the city of Caracas getting to play with the Orquesta Sinfónica de la Juventud Venezolana Simón Bolívar.

With the Youth Symphony Orchestra Simón Bolívar made major international tours that took him to perform in the most prestigious concert halls in the world and participating in the most renowned festivals like Lucerne and Salzburg, working with international directors such as Simon Rattle, Claudio Abbado and Gustavo Dudamel, among others.

Bassoon is currently studying at the Conservatory of Music of Aragon, under the training of teacher Canuti Stefano.
