The Department of Women and Equal Opportunities has recently closed the workshop "PADO: Development of parenting skills for the division of responsibilities", organized in collaboration with the Department of Education, aimed at young parents and teenagers.
This activity, which took place during the month of March, is part of the measures envisaged in the area of reconciliation of work and family life of the Second Plan for Equal Opportunities between women and men of Totana and within the program of activities conducted by the Department on the occasion of the commemoration of March 8th.
Workshop participants were young couples in the municipality of Totana interested in the issues raised, and among the indirect beneficiaries are the children who are the sons or daughters of these parents and young mothers and their families of origin, count at home from now with new strategies and skills to implement to participate in family life on equal terms.
The workshop, which was supported by the Institute of Women of the Region of Murcia and conducted by the Family Guidance Association ORFACEN has tried totanera sensitize society on the need to share responsibility for family and professional life.
Therefore, this workshop has had as main objective to raise awareness and provide information on joint participation in family responsibilities and improve women's access to employment.

The spread of PADO activity is carried out with the presentation of content to different institutions and organizations working with women and youth, such as women's centers, youth centers, primary care, social services, services counseling centers and family mediation.
