The first meeting Alevín School Sports Chess, organized by the Directorate General of Sports in the Region of Murcia and Murcia Chess Federation took place on Saturday 16 January at the Municipal Sports Pavilion "Manolo Ibáñez."
The conference was attended by more than 61 schools of various parts of the Region of Murcia and Lorca, Cieza, Molina de Segura, Murcia, Lorqui, Blanca, Cartagena, Archena, Fortuna, Santomera and Totana.
From the Sports Council have highlighted the participation of twelve large totaneros schools, colleges belonging to the Santa Eulalia, La Milagrosa, Tierno Galván, La Cruz, San Jose and Santiago.
The school ranked totaneros on this first day were Juan Manuel García Vivancos (Colegio Santa Eulalia), in third place, Juan Miguel Imbernón Garcia (Colegio La Cruz), in ninth place and Mario Martínez Hernández (Colegio Tierno Galvan) in tenth place.
The next event for these young students will take place on Feb. 6 in Lorca, with the second day go for the Regional Final, which will take place in Yecla, 27 February.
