Voluntary Service and International Relations, the Collective for Social Promotion "The Candle" developed for the Department of Citizenship, has reported the successful outcome of the high turnout and the VII Olympiad Study Solidarity among citizens has been youngest town of Totana, with the collection of over 1,500 euros.
This activity has been carried out for a month, from 5 November to 5 December, four study rooms in the town located in the neighborhood Edutec "El Parral", "Tirol-Camilleri", "San Roque "and in the hamlet of El Paretón" where attendees were able pupils spend their hours of study to achieve the greatest possible number of coins.
Each hour of study of young participants has become a euro that the City of Totana devoted to the completion of a proposed school and family support for children, adolescents and women in Angola.
In total and surpassing previous years' participation 1551.5 euros have been raised by the study of youth and that the City invest in the project of development cooperation through NGOs cooperate.
From Voluntary Service have highlighted the results achieved with the high participation of children and young people sensitized to the problems that citizens as they are every day just because they live in a southern country in the so-called developing countries .
The end result of the VII Olympiad Solidarity Study in Spain has been converted 212,531 hours of study made in euros 212,531.00, which they can add the amount raised in other countries reaching a total amount of 311,709 euros , noting that in the Region of Murcia have managed to raise 24,582 euros thanks to the involvement of 2,080 people.
In this sense, the councilor for the Development Cooperation, Juan Carrion, wants to thank the dedication and interest shown by all involved, from the very young students, teachers in the classrooms of educational support that has encouraged the participation of students , to the volunteers who helped in the project.
