On Monday November 7, continuing the long weekend of racing where they have been present Athletic Club athletes Totana-JC Pallets are held the first edition of the Cross Popular "El Palmar" in which they were representing the Club partners Bartolo Sanchez, Salvador Martínez Andreo and Juanfran.
The test, which had a distance of 10 miles on a street circuit of four laps, during which there were more of a slope, had a participation of over 150 athletes.
Concerning the timing of the members of JC pallets, ended the test Juanfran 43:16, Salva stopped the clock at 44:38 and 47:32 Bartolo.
Also on Tuesday, December 8, a group of athletes from the Club moved to Alicante lands to take part in one of the toughest mountain cross the Spanish east, the Cross XII "Up to Cabezo Black" in the town of The racer.
Athletes Pedro Ruiz, Eusebio Martinez, Pepe Nacho Campos Sáez and took part in this test, along with more than three hundred participants, who had to overcome just over eight miles that separated them from the summit of Black Cabezo, with ramps higher to 13% gradient.
At 10:30 h was out of the test from the plaza of the town of Alicante, starting to climb a road that gradually would increase the slope.
After about five miles of asphalt, it began testing real hard the last five kilometers of forest track the path where the slope was increasing up to the last ramp exceeding 13% slope.
Despite the harshness of course, very good times were achieved by athletes from the Club, the first across the finish Pedro Ruiz, who spent 57:52 on the completion of testing, followed by Eusebius that stopped the clock in 1h : 01:58.
After he arrived Nacho 1h: 05:20 and Pepe with 1h: 14:00.
So one year the JC Pallets crowned Black Cabezo ramps.
