The Sports Council has launched a total of 26 modules of various sports sports to be carried out in secondary schools in the locality, and are framed in the School Sports Programme 2009/10.
To do this, it has enjoyed the cooperation of local sporting clubs who provide the Sports Council sports monitors are responsible for implementing the various sporting activities, and physical education teachers, who along with municipal sports technicians have carried out the dynamic and registration of the different activities.
The sports that have been launched this school year have been Futsal, Basketball, Badminton, Orienteering, Athletics and Tennis, and will last throughout the school year of 30 hours, with some teaching on the slopes sports schools, and another part of racing through the Championship Sports Promotion of the Region of Murcia, organized by the Directorate General of Sports in its own Program School Age Sports.
The schools participating this time are the IES "Juan de la Cierva" IES "Prado Mayor" College "Reina Sofia" and College "Guadalentín" and in this first week of sporting activity are a total of 400 participating young people aged between 12 and 18.
