The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, has asked the municipal associations to become involved with the collection of signatures Local Platform in Defense of the Tajo Segura is meeting to arrange a Popular Legislative Initiative (IPL) in defense of transfer Tajo-Segura.
The mayor, through letters sent to each of the associations that make up the vast network of associations in the municipality, explained that since 2005, which held the first demonstration in defense of the Tajo-Segura is striving hard and so crowded that the transfer is untouchable.
To this end, as Martínez Andreo remembers, has become Local Platform in Defense of the Tajo-Segura whose actions has launched the initiative under the slogan "We support the transfer", which aims to collect 500,000 signatures necessary for the Congress of Deputies process the IPL.
Also, the mayor explained that the full City Council, the Municipal Agricultural Advisory Council and Livestock body participation in agriculture and livestock, and some 8,000 people have already transferred their support to this initiative and have signed the manifesto in defense of the Tajo-Segura.
However, Martínez Andreo has indicated that it is time to join forces and support the defense of the Tajo-Segura therefore also invites the great local associations to adhere to the manifesto in defense of the Tajo-Segura.
