Totana City Council will launch the free school bus services for students in the College of Education and Primary "Luis Pérez Rueda, who can also enjoy high school, in an open classroom and bilingual education in English during the next academic year 2009/10, as reported by the Councillor for Education, Trini Cayuela.

In this sense, the mayor explained that this type of classrooms serving children with special needs arising from pervasive developmental disorders, learning disabilities, multiple disabilities, hearing impairment, severe motor disability associated with other deficiencies, whose schooling requires attention individual and a significant adaptations of the curriculum.

On the other hand, the bilingual education program will begin in first grade but will continue to gradually implanted to complete all the educational stage.

The school conducted in English third weekly teaching hours and, in particular, with the exception of Spanish language, mathematics and religion, schools may choose to Environmental Awareness, Education, Arts and Physical Education.

The mayor of Education has stated that this is a well-equipped center, double line, with a total of 18 classrooms for teaching (6 for 12 for Early Childhood and Primary), 6 small-group classrooms, 2 computer labs, a library, auditorium, staff room, dining room and kitchen, sports hall and sports center, in addition to access and furniture adapted for people with mobility problems.

This center has a capacity for 450 students opened in December 2007, currently has more than one hundred school children with 13 teachers, and was funded by the Autonomous Region with a budget of nearly three million euros.
