Participants in the project "Integration of children and youth rehabilitative or at risk of social exclusion", launched by the Department of Social Welfare of the City of Totana, have made a computer workshop and a booster session in the middle school social "El Parral" for the world of new technologies.
Youth who participate in the workshops were able to learn how to use an Internet search engine, e-mail use, and how to locate data on the network, among other topics.
This project is funded by the Directorate of Integration of Immigrants, Ministry of Labour and Immigration and main objective is to promote and make the learning process of children between 12 and 16 years from family backgrounds and social disadvantage and educational level have deficits , family and society, strengthening their capacities, skills and attitudes to inclusion, social participation and citizen coexistence.
Within the project plans to develop other social and educational activities until December.
These activities will range from social skills workshops, educational support, creative workshops, substance abuse prevention, sports, positive employment activities leisure, among other things.
