The councilman of Deportes, José Antonio Valverde Queen, along with those responsible for coordinating the sports program, have closed the second course of the activities of the second half of June "Summer Sports 2009" with the presentation of diplomas to more than 400 children who participated in them.
The activities have been developed during this fortnight at the Polideportivo Municipal "December 6" and sports "Guadalentín Valley" in the hamlet of El Paretón.
The mayor expressed his satisfaction at the high number of entries and the proper functioning of the activities offered, congratulating his time, both the technical and sports coaches for the good work done with children.
Moreover, Valverde has highlighted the quality of training for both professional and human monitors that offer the different sports activities offered by the Department of Sports this summer.
The program "Summer Sports" is held from Monday to Friday from 10:00 hours to 13:00 hours, and during this period, children have the opportunity to practice a variety of sports and multisport, Aquadiver, swimming, tennis, and many more activities, as well as recreational trips and workshops.
The distribution of students has been established in five categories: child Aquadiver, Aquadiver kids, babies Aquadiver, multi-sport kids, and summer sports school for children 6 to 12 years.
The mayor of Sports explained that the registration period for students who wish to participate in the first fortnight of August and is open and parents can enroll their children in the Sports Hall or the Sports "December 6" .
