The Full Council agreed unanimously by the municipal corporation to request the Autonomous Community of Murcia the transfer of Technology Center for Crafts (CTA) to an industrial park the Rann of Totana, and the building currently occupied by the CTA would converted by the City in the City Museum where the highlight especially the pottery and artisan tradition in the municipality
Councilwoman Crafts, Isabel Maria Sanchez, said that in recent years there has been a significant movement of the potteries totaneras the Industrial Park "The Saladar", since "these artists have gone in search of larger premises, more modern and more comfortable to the performance of his office. "
Therefore, the mayor said that "from the city of Totana believe that the CTA, which is currently located in the traditional pottery in the area of Ollerķas should be located in the polygon equipping it with modern facilities and more suited to the development of R + D + i ".
The mayor explained that "we consider the proximity of major technology center with the main users of Totana and above all, the connection to the motorway would significantly facilitate the use thereof by artisans from all over the region."
Similarly, the council argued that "the vast majority of the Technology Centers in the Region of Murcia is located in industrial parks in different cities to respond more adequately to business needs."
