The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, and the councilman of Water, John Pagan, have held this morning a working meeting with representatives of the Platform in Defence of the Tajo-Segura Popular Legislative Initiative, Juan Ramón Calero and Jesus Lopez Molina .
During the meeting, both the mayor and the council have moved their support to this initiative under the slogan "We support the transfer" is to collect the 500,000 signatures necessary for the Congress of Deputies treat a Popular Legislative Initiative (ILP) in defense of the Tajo-Segura.
Those responsible for the Platform thanked the City Council of Totana work during this time in support of the initiative that they lead, as both the House of the Corporation and the Agricultural Advisory Council has expressed support for the defense of the Tajo- Segura.
Since the platform was created two months ago in Totana 8,000 signatures have been collected at the points where the documents were deposited in the Community of Irrigators of Totana and the Citizens Advice Service in the Consistory.
As explained Martínez Andreo, the City Council will do everything possible to get the municipality is about 13,000 signatures, or if it is more viable.
