The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, has signed this morning the first economic aid to the beneficiaries of the Standing Support Service (SEAPA), through which 40 families in the municipality will receive between 700 and 1000 euros, rate of 200 euros per month, according to the needs of each.

Thanks to SEAPA, a pioneering service in the Region of Murcia, the town people who are experiencing real economic problems will be beneficiaries of this aid.

SEAPA users are people who are unemployed, or self-employed workers who receive no financial aid or family allowance and have real problems meeting basic needs like food, clothing, electricity, water or cope with mortgage payments or studies of young people.

As the mayor pointed out, the main objective of this service is to advise and train these people to get a job that allows them to live in adequate conditions.

For this, the City Council will conduct, through the Department of Employment and Training, specific courses for these people to enable them to retrain or obtain new knowledge for the achievement of a job.

In this sense, Martínez Andreo, has indicated that this service is already providing concrete solutions to real problems of the residents of Totana and, in addition to these first direct aid are under consideration over a hundred cases may also receive financial amounts .

Also, the municipal councilor explained that people who receive SEAPA supports work to benefit the community with municipal associations or by the City Council on issues related to culture, environment, volunteering, etc..

Martínez Andreo has indicated that actually the government team is working towards alleviating the problems causing the economic crisis and with this measure, once you have launched projects to promote employment, there are specific answers to problems current neighbors, who see, in many cases, such as economic resources have not even eat.
