As every year the school tennis Totana Tennis Club organized a trip to Madrid to attend the best tennis tournament held in Spain and one of the best in the world, the Madrid Open.
Also this year had the added attraction that was held for the first time in the spectacular grounds of the Magic Box, equipped with excellent facilities for tennis and one of the emblematic works of the Madrid bid to host the Games Olympics in 2016.
As we all hoped we had a memorable day of tennis action seeing the best players and players in the world, and having the good fortune to live to see the world number 1 Rafa Nadal on center court play their first match of the tournament against Austrian Jurgen Melzer who endorsed a sovereign beating.
In addition we saw Rafa play and train with Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, Juan Martin del Potro, David Ferrer, Feliciano Lopez, Dinara Safina, Anabel Medina, etc, and all the celebrities come together in the tournament to see play sports stars of the racket.
At the end of the game after Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer see train started back to Totana with great satisfaction of seeing in action the best players in the ATP and WTA and the illusion of returning to power next year again enjoy the great spectacle that is the Mutua Madrilena Madrid Open.
