The Councillor for Environment, Trini Cayuela, with pharmaceutical company technicians Boenhrineger Inglelheim and Forestry Technology Center of Catalonia (CTFC) will participate on Saturday February 21 to reforest one hectare of municipally owned parcel, located in the place de la Virgen Blanca, La Santa in the town, in the Regional Park of Sierra Espuņa.
This action will be carried out under an agreement signed between the city of Totana and the Forest Technology Centre of Catalonia, after the Plenum adopted unanimously last December, which will consist of reforesting one hectare, this emblematic place, declared a public utility, contributing to a better breathing of the planet, as noted by the mayor.
Also, as reported by Trini Cayuela, this action forms part of the "floor 02", whose main objective is to contribute to environmental conservation and sustainability of the planet.
The afforestation work, as explained by the mayor, include the preparation of the ground with a mechanized auger, planting a number of plants to determine the native species selected, the placement of individual biodegradable protective tubes for each seedling and the realization support irrigation.
The execution of the work will take place through the recruitment by the CTFC to a forestry company to perform site preparation (Auger) a few days before planting.
Planting takes place this Saturday BIES personnel involved in the supervision and technical advice from engineers CTFC, and replanting will take place during the year after planting.
