The Totana Health Center has upgraded its services to citizens with the recent X-ray scanning apparatus, which is compounded by the addition of new faculty that will result in extended hours to the public.
This was announced this morning at a press conference Councillor for Health and Public Health, Trini Cauyela and the manager of Area III of the Single Management of Health Service of Murcia, José Luis Albarracín, accompanied by the deputy medical director of the Hospital Rafael Méndez, María José Úbeda, and the Director of Nursing, Area III, Andres Soto.
This new service will enable the digitization of X-rays to be stored electronically, so that will help the conservation of the environment, as the paper used in this type of radiation is highly polluting.
The manager of Area III, José Luis Albarracín, explained that last year began with the digitization project in the major hospitals in the region and one of the objectives of the SMS has been to move these services to the centers of the municipalities.
The de Totana already has a few weeks with this device that will, in future, any doctor from any hospital or clinic X-rays can see that the patient has done digitally and thus avoid the need to expose himself back to radiation.
Albarracín stressed that, for the moment, is proceeding with the digitization of X-rays and will gradually work through the process of storing the same.
In addition, the doctor explained that any citizen who wants his paper radiography can apply without any problems and will be delivered.
Another achievement that has been made through the Area III, which depends on the town of Totana, has been the computerization of all medical devices Health Center of El Paretón.
So, as underlined Albarracín, is already proceeding with the digitization of medical records and can now manage appointments and other necessary services for citizens and health professionals in electronic form.
Also, the manager of Area III has indicated that medical services have expanded with the addition of a pediatrician and a dental hygienist, that will expand the hours of service to users.

The councilman of Health and Public Health, Trini Cauyela, pointed out that, for the town of Totana, already have the digitization of this service becomes a further step to achieve healing of excellent quality.
In addition, the mayor has advanced to the refurbishment of the damage of the Health Center, which will take place Murcia Health Service, will begin next week.
The mayor explained that the project went to tender in late November with a value of 109,736 euros and that soon people will see how the facilities are entirely adequate to the demands of users.
