The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, along with more local authorities, attended the last night at the Gala Awards "Totaneros of the Year 2008", organized by the weekly "Local Line" of Totana.
The awards this year have gone to Dr. Manuel Moreno Moreno, Juan Bermejo Beltrán businessman and neighbor Paretón Serrano Juana Crespo.
The act of the awards, as in previous years, took place during the course of a gala dinner held at the Hotel Restaurant de La Santa, and whose profits went to the Local Assembly of the Spanish Red Cross in Totana.
In the Cultural type winner this year was Juana Crespo Serrano, a neighbor of Paretón that has stood out for his love of poetry and painting hobbies in which fought on his own.
In the Social and Humanitarian category, the jury decided to award Dr. Manuel Moreno, president of the Hemophilia Association of Murcia.
The jury decided to recognize not only the interests of scientific disclosure of hemophilia Dr. Moreno, but has also managed to bring the name of Totana to all national and international forums where he has dealt with this disease, so of course, quality human, professional and affable to everyone.
Finally, the Business Development Award was awarded to Juan Bermejo Beltran, owner of the company, "Viveros Bermejo," which he created with his wife for almost two decades and has managed, with effort and dedication, become one of the concerning production of ornamental plants and gardening.
The jury decided this year to leave empty the category of Lifetime Achievement Award or sporting gesture.
