The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, and Council of Industry, José Antonio Valverde Queen, and Development, Trini Cayuela Crespo, have been responsible for welcoming the 45 students from now formed into three courses that are taught at the Center for Local Development in the Industrial Park "The Saladar."

All courses are designed for active workers unemployed and seeking to expand their knowledge in relation to matters of employment.

Specifically, students participate in the basic course of occupational risk prevention in advanced computing and advanced English.

During the inauguration of the course, the mayor said the new students that the additional training and retraining are a major asset to the current unemployment situation.

In this regard, said the administration must be sensitive to workers' requests and advance training programs.

According to the mayor, the training offered through the Consistory "is something that works at full capacity and we will continue pursuing it with measures such as the creation of the Employment to coordinate municipal administrations, employers and job seekers."

The course of occupational risk prevention will be held in the same way as the other two in the Local Development Centre and will run for 45 hours (plus 5 practices), Monday through Thursday from 19:30 to 22 : 30 hours.

For its part, the seminar will be taught advanced English to Nov. 6 for 30 hours and the advanced computer until 13 November.
