The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, and Councilwoman Crafts, Isabel Maria Sanchez, crafts exhibitors have visited the town of Totana, taking part in the XXV edition of the Craft Fair of the Region of Murcia (Feramur) held Lorca from 25 to 27 September, coinciding with its 25th anniversary of a distinguished career in the field of handicrafts.
Pottery "Pove", the workshop craftsman "Marsedo" Lario Pottery and Artisans Association Totana exhibitors have exhibited at various craft products to raise awareness of the craft of the town and attract new customers to market their products.
Feramur is the largest craft event in the Region of Murcia and one of the highest national importance, being a meeting place for artisans and merchants from all corners of the country and abroad.
Each year more artisans involved in FERAMUR demand and has become a key event in the artisan and commercial sector, where a number of visitors rises each year and are about 80,000 people that go through the site.
Councilwoman Crafts, María Isabel Sánchez Ruiz, has highlighted the interest of the City Council in developing the artisan sector and the implementation of initiatives that serve as triggers in turn the town's economy.
For its part, the president of Asarta stressed the need for concerted efforts to push forward the industry.
So, the mayor of Totana recalled that recently the local Town Hall has signed various agreements with local craft associations for the joint implementation of measures to enable the development of the crafts sector and in turn serve as activators of the economy of our town, and stressed the importance of these events to give a promotion to the products of Totana and project its image abroad.
