The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, has signed a collaboration agreement with the Association of Artisans of Totana (Asarta) for the promotion and development of the crafts sector in the municipality.
Local Consistory has allocated a budget with a value of 6,000 euros, according to the president of the Asarta, Rosa Maria Sainz, will be broken down into three parts.
Part of the grant will be devoted to the promotion of crafts fairs; other hand, try to mitigate the effects that caused a fire to two craft entrepreneurs and the rest to alleviate the costs incurred with waste artisans generated in the EcoPark.
This initiative presented by the Crafts Council Member, Maria Isabel Sanchez Ruiz, highlights the interest of the City Council in developing the artisan sector and in turn serve as activators of the town's economy.
