The Department of Comprehensive Maintenance Services and the City has begun today with pieces that will solve the problems of pressure on the existing water service to 23 homes Moratín street in the neighborhood Tirol-Camilleri, as reported by Councilman branch, Sergio López.
The works will last for the second half of August and have a budget of 34,000 euros, so that will be undertaken by operators in the company of Municipal Water Service Totana, Urbaser.
The mayor explained that these actions are carried out in response to requests from residents of the area, which suffer from problems of low water pressure in their homes due to the decrease of the section in the polyethylene pipe to channel water as a result of fouling deposits on the walls.
Lopez noted that for this reason, it is necessary to replace the existing pipe with the same polyethylene material 90 mm in diameter and 10 atmospheres of pressure.
He has also stated that the section will be renewed affects length of 133 meters where such housing and affixed to a valve that ensures the cutting of water supply in case of damage to the area.
Finally, the council announced that from next September is expected to start work in the neighborhood Tirol-Camilleri to solve the historic problem of flooding in low lying areas of this neighborhood in times of heavy rainfall.
