More than 80 children have participated in two summer camps organized by the Youth Council in collaboration with the Directorate General of the Environment and the company doing Ecoesuña camps in the Hall of Nature "The Stables" during the month of July.
The high participation of children in these Summer Camps, framed in the "Summer Youth Program" has forced the rotation of the same according to four shifts of 8 days duration each, beginning the first of these June 30 July 6 for a number of 36 children aged between 8 and 10 years.
The second camp was held from 7 to 13 July, for 11, 12 and 13 years, which involved a total of 45 children.
For the month of August also carried out two other camps, one from 1 to 7 August, for children 8, 9 and 10 years, which have covered all the squares, 45, and the second will be held 8 to 14 August, for 11, 12 and 13, and also have covered all the squares, 45, even with a waiting list.
To achieve these camps Nature Classroom aims inter alia to promote respect for the environment, discover the natural and cultural values of this area, promoting cooperative and inclusive work group and the attitudes of camaraderie and respect for others and the environment, enjoy and live an unforgettable experience, and encourage children to live in an environment of respect for people and the environment, and through play and contact with nature.
Among the activities that have been made include the gymkhana water activities aimed at reducing, reusing and recycling, achieving the bird feeders at the same time, transversely, they work with natural wildlife park, focusing on types of birds, and making short films as well as sports games.
On the other hand, from the Youth Council reported that in August will also be conducting a youth camp from 16 to 22 for boys and girls of 14-17 years, which have covered the seats with 30 people and there is a waiting list.
This camp has some special characteristics because it is traveling and spend the night in different places, such as "La Santa" Shelter "Santa Leocadia, ... among others.
