The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, Councillor of Education, Roque Molina, and Vice Chancellor for University Extension, University of Murcia, Guillermo Díaz Baños, presented the course "Translation and cultural mediation: the translator-interpreter in the public and private sector ", offered by the Universidad Internacional del Mar, to be conducted first in the town of Totana.

Through this course, which will be led by Ana Maria Rojo Lopez, it is intended that students acquire knowledge about the work of the translator / interpreter as cultural mediator and conditions of their employment status in the professional market as well as basic concepts about what cultural mediation and what utilities have for the work of the translator / interpreter in public services and the private sector, among other things.
The course of 30 hours' duration, be honored for 3 elective credits may be carried out by students, graduates and people interested in the topic that are not linked to academic studies at a set price of 95 euros, and must apply registration one week prior to the beginning.
