The councilors of Health, Trini Cayuela, and Youth, Josefa María Sánchez, President of the Association of Families of Mentally Ill of Totana and Aledo, AFEMTO, Miguel García Cánovas, inaugurated the "X Regional Meeting of Families 2008", held on 28 June in the beautiful surroundings of La Santa, which was attended by more than five hundred people.
The event, organized by this association with the collaboration of the departments of Citizenship and Health, which was attended by relatives and users of the ten associations with which it has Murciana Federation of Families and Persons with Mental Illness, FEAFES Region of Murcia, was developed as a day of coexistence, exchange of experience and respite care.
To go to the site of the celebration, the Picnic "Angel" in the Holy of Totana, the association hired a free bus.
The program of activities started at eleven o'clock with the delivery of programming and gifts to commemorate the event, and subsequently had an exhibition of Classical Ballet and Spanish Dance Academy Mari Loli de Totana, a theater organized by Association "The Dragonfly" of Totana, lathe and pottery workshops, and bouncy castle.
After the official opening by local authorities, who expressed his satisfaction towards the organization of such activities and events that help to encourage and give support to continue fighting for improved mental health of these people, attendees could enjoy a giant paella.
The trophy ceremony teams and players who participated in the Regional Football League Pro Mental Health 2007-2008 and delivery of Gifts to the Chairpersons of each Association, was conducted at four in the afternoon and then gave way to karaoke.
