The Socio-Cultural Center "The Prison" is hosting an exhibition on the "Book Project", an initiative launched by the Department of Environment in collaboration with the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Planning, which took place last year and was used to collect school supplies for reuse in Spanish speaking countries in the developing world.
The exhibition, which is on the existing site near the municipal library, and displays the results of the project consists of several panels and a display case that explains what the Book Project.
The Book Project is an initiative to promote the reuse of educational materials and books that can not be classified as "waste", as they can be reused both for its excellent state of preservation as their intellectual and cultural value.
The exhibition also includes the work carried out both in the collection of books in Totana (and the rest of the region) and delivering them in Spanish speaking countries such as Peru and Nicaragua during the past year 2007.

The exhibition, which is open from Monday June 23, will run until July 2, at the same time when it is opened the Socio-Cultural Center.
