The general director of the Institute for the Elderly Social Action Murciano, IMAS, Paloma Recio, accompanied by the councilman of Social Welfare, Juan Carrion Tudela, recently visited during a day of work resources and services aimed at the collective municipality's Senior to learn "in situ" the most immediate needs of this group.
During the day, Paloma Recio and John Carrion, accompanied by the Area Coordinator and Unit Senior, Peter Garrett, and the activities coordinator of the Senior Municipal Center, Bethlehem Lorca, visited the Day Care Service for Patients Alzheimer's (SEDA), which will be inaugurated soon by the Minister of Labour and Social Policy, Joaquín Bascuñana.
Also, visited the Municipal Center Senior Balsa Plaza Vieja and the Day Care Service located on the first floor, and the mayor moved the most immediate needs of the Center for Senior General Manager of the IMAS .
Between the needs of the center, explained Carrión Tudela, is the provision of air conditioning equipment serving kitchen, improved equipment for the physiotherapy room, the replacement of furniture and press shop activities, and developing expansion project and covered the second floor of the Centre, which will go to a solarium and a relaxation workshop and activities.
The Senior General Manager of IMAS was pleasantly surprised by the large number of existing partners, more than 1,800, and the large number of activities taking place in the center.
Later, they visited the residence of the Elderly "La Purisima" coinciding with the events held to mark its ninth anniversary.
