Totana Town Council will give a classroom and two offices located on the first floor of the old school "Juan de la Cierva" for the implementation and management of a new project, a School of Fine Arts.
This has recently agreed on Local Government and whose cooperation agreement with the "Idearte" Cultural Association was signed yesterday.
The council has signed the agreement for one year to encourage the revitalization of municipal infrastructure and the development of non-profit activities of various kinds which influence the improvement of the environment, quality of life for residents and help to enrich the offer cultural Totana.
In the act of signing the agreement were the mayor, Juan José Canovas, president and representative of the association "Idearte" Isabel Hernandez Urrea, who formally signed the agreement.
Furthermore, the act also attended by councilors of Culture, Eulalia Moreno, and Citizen Participation, Agustin Gonzalo Martinez and Ricardo Lozano, also representing this entity.
The partnership will launch the School of Visual Arts, with a flexible schedule, in which stakeholders will be taught the techniques of natural drawing, oil and acrylic, collage, ceramics, sculpture and other art techniques through workshops for children and people of all ages.
Meanwhile, the "Idearte" Cultural Association, which aims to become a "different" school to society, born with the "ultimate dream" to provide a training and educational services in this area lovers and learners of the arts.
This project is conducted under the collaboration of the Municipality and the association itself, as explained by both;
and it is open to different disciplines and tastes always in the field of visual arts.
The councilman of Culture welcomed this initiative and make effective, he said, "for us is a luxury supporting culture and support associations Totana who want to promote initiatives of this nature and for this purpose";
with which it is enacted that "the commitment of the government team is determined by culture."
Moreover, this association is committed to making the concierge service of the divested infrastructure as well as maintenance, upkeep and cleaning, providing materials considered appropriate for management of that School of Fine Arts.
This organization aims for the promotion and dissemination of culture through the arts, helping people with less resources in the cultural and educational training through planned activities and promoting the cooperation of private entities and public in promoting culture and the arts.
The representatives of the association thanked the current government team involvement with this project, "he was presented at the City Council three years ago, but so far had not seen the light to be realized."
They expressed their willingness to collaborate with other associations in the municipality to develop joint projects, such as those devoted to theater or cinema, in order to encourage common initiatives in the field of visual arts.
