# Miformacióntusalud - Earn Totana IU against the "attacks of the Popular Party government at the Public University"
Since Earn Totana IU we feel obliged to denounce the serious situation that the medical students of the University of Murcia face, since the regional government continues its policy of favoring the UCAM at the expense of the interests of public.
In a time now, we have observed how the Regional Government, is seriously damaging through its policies, training of future professionals of medicine in our region.
In the past month, the situation has become untenable, after the loss of validity of the internship agreement between the University of Murcia and the Murcia Health Service, students are faced with the situation that their practices are not covered by any agreement and, therefore, remain suspended.
Murciano Health Service produced a map Teacher, in which he showed how the University of Murcia was underutilized services at University Hospitals.
After subjecting this map for review, eliminating non-school periods such as Christmas, July, exam periods and Easter, it has been shown being used most of the available resources of hospitals, so if UCAM students are included, we have a big problem of overcrowding.
On Thursday 17 September the matter was discussed at the Regional Assembly.
The Popular Party said the UCAM only bring 90 students, erroneous data, as currently are 225 students from the UCAM in such practices, 315 the next academic year and 405 the next.
In addition, the Regional Government proposes that in four of the six public hospitals in which students perform practical UCAM will be present, leaving only two of these for use at the University of Murcia.
Is shown and the lack of rigor of their claims, which are intended to confuse the population Murcia, dismantle public services and benefit a large private business, as is the UCAM, with the money of all Murcia, while hundreds of SMEs are forced to close each day because of the lack of support the government of the Popular Party.
Given this, from Win-IU Totana, we echo the legitimate demands of the students of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Murcia and Student Action Front (FAE), requesting the signing of an agreement to ensure the priority students of public regarding the UCAM in conducting clinical practices in university hospitals, based on a real Teaching map, or else the training of future doctors will be severely impaired and the quality of health services in the Region of Murcia.
