The team Totana Municipal Government has recently met with representatives of sports clubs and associations in the municipality in order to establish coordination lines that allow to optimize the use of the different infrastructure and sports facilities and to respond to their needs.
The mayor, Juan José Canovas, and Council of Sports, Maria Isabel Molino, and Welfare Unit and Immigration, Javier Baños, held a working meeting in order to set the timing and schedules that benefit clubs and users in general ahead of the new season 2015/2016.
Fortunately, there are many public sports infrastructure available to Totana, a town in reference to it in the region;
but there are also many sports clubs and associations have been promoting grassroots sport and federated in different disciplines and categories, which requires coordination of use thereof.
After a meeting, which also served as the first point of institutional contact, a distribution agreement for the use of sports facilities thanks to the mediation of the mayor and, above all, the Councillor for Sports, perfectly aware of the situation reached and operational needs raised by the clubs.
The meeting was attended by senior members of the clubs of basketball, football, soccer, hockey, skate, among others.
The Department will continue working closely Totana clubs in order to promote the maintenance of sports facilities and sporting activities that they provide to society totanera.
At present, the municipality of Totana has public infrastructure are used by clubs and users in general, as the Sports Pavilion "Manolo Ibáñez" Sports City "Valverde Queen", the sports center "December 6 and Pavilion "Capuchins" that it is the municipal stadium "Juan Cayuela", the fitness center Sociocultural "Jail" School Hall and the Sports Complex "Guadalentín" in the hamlet Paretón.
