The Department of Youth and Citizenship has designed a project to enable the participation of university volunteering in cultural revitalization activities that have been taking place in different cultural and social areas of the municipality throughout the year and promoted by different municipal areas.
This initiative will take place after the launch in Totana of "Educational Support Project", in which volunteers work together as college students, through an agreement between the City Council and the University of Murcia (Service Agreement to Diversity and Volunteerism), and having detected the interest of students from the municipality to collaborate on other initiatives and activities related to the socio-cultural field and activities,
The proposed voluntary participation in the Sociocultural Area aims to facilitate and promote voluntary activities among young people to strengthen solidarity and social commitment as citizens.
Another is that this voluntary action young people obtain recognition of their personal competence.
So this initiative students will carry out volunteer projects and related social, educational, cultural, entertainment and tourism sector activities.
The project is scheduled to begin during the month of October, after the addition of students to the University of Murcia.
