Civil Protection yesterday held a day of living to mark the first anniversary of the launch of the Municipal Emergency Center, located in the old school "La Cruz" and that began with a Mass in memory of deceased volunteers who officiated in Calvary chapel by Father Pedro Hernandez Cañizares.
Subsequently, a simple official ceremony in which he was decorated delivery made to the Chief of the local police, Alfonso Canales, for his ongoing collaboration with the Association of Civil Protection Volunteers was held.
He also paid tribute to the voluntary retired Diego Mateo for his career in this group for 20 years of service.
The event took place in the courtyard of the current Municipal Emergency Center, attended by the Mayor of Totana, Isabel Maria Sanchez, and the Councillor for Emergencies, Francisco Hernández, and other members of the Municipal Corporation and the municipal technician Protection Civil, Andrés Martín Gómez.
Meanwhile, the head of the Association of Civil Protection Volunteers, José María Sánchez Pascual, has made a review of the Civil Protection services performed in this municipality during the last year and thanked the group of volunteers his involvement with this group .
