More than 1,500 children from all schools in the town of Totana participate in the 2014-2015 School Sports Programme organized by the Sports Department in collaboration with schools and sports clubs in Totana, and the Directorate General of Physical Activity and Sport of the Region of Murcia.
Collecting the sports program are Chess, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Handball, Cross Country, Indoor Soccer, Playing athletics, Multisport, Orienteering, Petanque, Table Tennis and Volleyball.
Councillor for Sports, Bartolo Pallares, has presented this program with the technical person responsible for it, Jesus Serrano, and explained that it aims to promote sports in schools and is aimed at the education of the students, the harmonious development of their personality and the achievement of physical conditions that allow the sport.
Also, as said, this program is intended to move the athlete in school age the principles of fair play, camaraderie and healthy living practices, rejection of violence and the integration of all components of a computer without discrimination .
Throughout the school year, the Sports Council convene the Local Phase of all these different sports, part of the Championship Sports Promotion of the Region of Murcia organized by the Directorate General of Physical Activity and Sport in the Region of Murcia .
Participation in this program is totally free, and also the highest ranked school in the various local phases have the opportunity to participate in regional phases called by the Autonomous Community.
School Sports This program is intended for students aged between 8 and 18, corresponding to the youngest categories, juvenile, child, cadet and youth, both male and female form.
Registration for all activities undertaken by teachers and physical education teachers from different schools in this county, as reported by the sources of the Sports Council.
However, Pallares thanked the cooperation body physical education teachers of all schools, because without it, it would not be possible to carry out this program.
