The Department of Popular Culture, through direct actions taken by the Municipal Library, has organized so far this year several activities to promote reading in which more than a thousand people.

Specifically, from January to May have been a total of 32 sessions animations to reading the 696 children who participated in 1st, 2nd and 4th of Primary schools in the municipality and nurseries.

In addition to the library staff, this initiative has had the invaluable help of author totanera, Morerica Galán.

In addition, the Reading Club has conducted monthly meetings at which participated an average of 15 people.

and The Kite Runner, Hosseini of Hhaled

Also, from the library have been made tributes to various authors over the first six months have passed.

These authors are Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Mercedes Salisachs, Doris Leeising and Ana Maria Matute.
