City officials and teachers closed on Friday, June 20, the Occupational Classroom, a program of remedial education in which fourteen students participated Secondary Education, which was held and the Socio-Cultural Center "Jail" with delivery qualifications and diplomas to the young participants.
Once again, the city of Totana and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities have enabled the development of this program has been running in the town of Totana in recent years.
The closing ceremony was attended, among others, the Councillor for Education, Josefa Maria Sanchez Mendez, the art teacher advises the Service to diversity of the Ministry of Education, Elena Ladron de Guevara Mellado and director of IES "Prado Mayor" Maria Soledad García López.
Occupational Classroom has been developed on the premises of the Centre Sociocultural "Jail" in hours 8:15 to 14:20 pm, Monday through Friday.
Participants in the program students are trained by a team of teachers employed by the Ministry of Education;
in which basic education combined with an initial vocational training within the scope of Cuisine and Pastry.
In addition to this training, students have participated throughout the year in different complementary activities around specific themes: social skills and conflict resolution, multiculturalism, affective-sexual education, drug prevention, violence prevention workshops music, photography, graffiti, horse, holding commemorative days, visit to La Bastida Field, among others.
During the closure, city officials and teachers have praised the work done by the students by preparing multiple recipes made and tasty menus that have been able to taste a large number of teachers of the Centre.
They have also encouraged students not to miss the opportunity to improve their personal and professional training in the future to choose a job.
Similarly, they have communicated to the participants the importance of incorporating into their lives the effort and perseverance to get everything they want and urged them not to be satisfied with what they have and aspire to form more and better.
In addition, they have also referred to the importance of this program and link to the continuity in the education system, and more specifically to participate in a Basic Training Program.
