Totana City Council adheres to a national strategy to encourage entrepreneurship and youth employment in order to reduce the rate of youth employment in the town.
The granting of this national stamp allows the Consistory attend integrated by various public, private, companies and organizations to work together towards common goals entities project.
The Councillor for Employment, María José Baeza, recalled that from the beginning of the term employment and training priority actions have been the result of them being the development of the "Local Employment Plan. Totana 2015."
Baeza has indicated that this plan shock with which this Local Government takes an active part in the development of policies that will see increased employment opportunities in our area and collecting a "Plan for Youth Employment" undoubtedly led to one of the group most affected by the economic crisis in our town.
The objectives of the "Youth Employment Plan" pass, as stressed by the mayor for Employment, to improve the employability of young people, improve the quality and stability of employment, promote equality of opportunity in access to the labor market and encourage entrepreneurship.
To achieve these objectives, the plan includes 32 policy measures aimed at adapting the education and training received by young people to the real needs of the labor market, related to the improvement of guidance, support and information they receive them when seeking employment, and other measures to encourage hiring, promoting flexibility and equal opportunities in access to the labor market.
The mayor has indicated that the strategy is part of the National Reform Programme and is consistent with the recommendations and initiatives on this matter, has made the European Union, in particular with the objectives and approaches of the "Youth Guarantee" recently proposed by the European Commission as the "Youth Employment Program 2013 -2014 of the Region of Murcia" program that part of the conviction that the problem of youth unemployment must be tackled comprehensive, coordinated and comprehensive manner, with projects to overcome all barriers to youth access to employment.
