President of the Hydrographic Confederation of Segura (CHS), Miguel Ángel R�denas, today visited the boardwalk in Totana L�bor in order to know the work of geological surveys to determine the best location to be built in the future prey of wadi Lebor.
The event also counted with the technical team responsible for the CHS, councilors of the Municipal Corporation and President of the Community of Irrigators, Juan Pagan.
Work began in mid-December and will continue until the end of February, and have a budget of 60,000 euros.
Geological surveys are being made in a stretch of about 500 meters in length, near the Tajo-Segura passing through the deputation of Lebor.
With these actions is to determine the best location for a closed flood control dam to be built on the bed of the wadi Lebor.
That infrastructure is included in the set of works that make up the General Plan of Flood Control High Guadalentin designed after the flood of St. Wenceslas, the September 28, 2012.
Alternatives to the old studio
In addition, CHS president recalled that alternatives are being considered to study the old project that had technical and environmental problems that affect the Argaric site "La Bastida".
He said he tries to see how viable is the project and what can be done off the streets in the coming years and if there is the possibility of building a dam for water harvesting and reuse avenues in this particular area of the channel .
