Once again the media has played Santa Pola Classic Marathon, held on Sunday 19 January 2014.
This XXV edition has broken record participation, reaching 9,300 registered athletes.
The Kenyan Abraham Cheroben (1:01:25) and Ethiopian Ashele Bekele (1:11:18) were imposed on the classification, which was played in the rain and reached the goal that some 8,100 participants.
In the men, came after compatriot Cheroben Frankline Chepkwony (1:01:39), while third place went to fellow Kenyan Joel Kemboi (1:02:27).
In the women, Bekele after the second and third positions were for Spanish Esther Hidalgo (1:14:14) and Marisa Casanueva (1:14:27).
And as is being usual there were athletes Athletics Club Totana, being: Eusebio Martinez Mengual (1:29:05), Juan Francisco García García (1:41:07), Antonio Vera Lucas (1:45:08 ), José Manuel Vázquez Ares (2:01:57)
