To receive a year full of joy and energy, from sonIMAGINA Association and with the collaboration of the Brotherhood of St. John the Evangelist Totana we have organized a New Year's Concert by the Band Evangelist San Juan de Totana with a repertoire as attractive as different from what we are accustomed at Easter, with unquestionable quality to the delight of all attendees.
He also will benefit Caritas Totana by providing nonperishable food or economic collaboration.

BAND MUSIC "SAN JUAN EVANGELISTA"
Formed in 1992 at the initiative of the board of the Brotherhood of "San Juan Evangelista", assuming its leadership and coordination D.
Juan José Méndez Noguera.
With the Brotherhood of "San Juan Evangelista" participate in the processions of Holy Week in Totana from its founding to the present.
In 2004 collaborated with other musical groups of Totana in the recording of a commemorative CD of Holy Week Totana.
In November 2010 participated in the commemorative 30th anniversary concert of the musical group of Totana.
In March 2012, it recorded a full CD of Holy Week processions works as part of a live concert in March 2013 and performed a concert of works in Totana processional and booklets again.
After it is decided to continue with the preparation of repertoire regularly throughout the year.
The result of this is the realization of a summer concert in July of 2013, in which you get a great public success.
The repertoire has worked for the last year has been varied, trying to combine the musical tradition of compositions for band, represented by Spanish authors as Emilio Cebrian, Rafael Talens, Geronimo Gimenez, etc., ...
with the repertoire of contemporary writers such as Jacob de Haan, Ferran Ferrer, Klaus Badelt and Andrew Lloyd Webber.
The number of components has grown considerably and currently the Band is comprised of approximately 64 musicians of all ages, mostly from Totana and Aledo.
It is very important to note the close cooperation among all its members, both those engaged in an unprofessional manner as those who are finalizing their musical studies.

JESUS ​​MARTINEZ CÃNOVAS
Born in Totana, where he began his musical studies at age 6 years.
He is Senior Professor of Clarinet, Psychology Graduate, Postgraduate Music Therapy (specializing in Alzheimer) and BA in History and Science of Music (Musicology), where he won the Outstanding Thesis Award.
Also has completed studies of Chamber Music, Harmony and Counterpoint.
He has directed and performed recording a CD for the National Exhibition "The Ages of Man" in Palencia and participated as a performer in several chamber ensembles, both classical and jazz repertoire in different parts of Spain.
He has been awarded three times, for various Educational Innovation Projects convened by the Ministry of Education and has taught numerous courses organized by CPRs, unions and foundations for different points of the Spanish geography.
He directed the Band of The Paretón, since its founding in 1995 until 1998.
In recent years he has attended several courses Orchestral and Band with D.
Juan Esteban M ª del Pozo, Franco Cesarini and D.
José Rafael Pascual Villaplana.
He currently serves as professor of music and director of studies at the IES "Juan de la Cierva and Codorníu" Totana and collaborating with the "Brotherhood of San Juan Evangelista" in the direction of the Band since 2010 until today.
