Totana has become the site of the first European grouping that brings together one hundred municipalities in Spain, Italy, France and Romania working for pottery after the signing of the constitution and bylaws of the European Association of Cities of Ceramics "EGTC AEuCC limited."

The signing of this agreement, which took place yesterday in Barcelona, ​​was chaired by the Mayor of Totana, Isabel Maria Sanchez, and president of the Spanish Association of Cities of Ceramics and those responsible for the Associations of Cities Ceramics of Italy France and Romania.

In addition, the auditor also attended the City of Totana, José Antonio Moreno Andreo, who will be the supervisor of the economic entity.

The new EGCC will start work in 2014, once the documents have been properly registered with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

As he advanced the Mayor of Totana, María Isabel Sánchez, is expected to make a public presentation in Brussels at the end of next January, coinciding with the full Committee of the Regions.

The EGCC Cities of Ceramics, in the words of the lord, plans to work primarily with programs financed by the European Union on four major themes: economic development, tourism and cultural development, education and heritage.

It is anticipated that an annual meeting of the General Assembly of the EGTC, with 5 representatives from each constituent member, in addition to a conference of mayors of the 90 cities that the new pool will be built.

Sánchez Ruiz has indicated that this is one of the few EGTC which are thematic (in this case, on ceramics) and no border like most groups that have formed in Europe since the 2006 adoption of the regulation European Parliament that creates and regulates.
