The Ministry of Health and Social Policy, Maria Angeles Palacios, has confirmed to the Mayor of Totana that the doctor of the village of El Paretón not going to close with the new health map of the municipality after the launch of the Health Center "Totana-South" in the first half of 2014.

In this framework, the Mayor of Totana has advanced already designed and planned the new health map to accommodate patients in the Health Center "Totana-South" which, as reported by the Minister, will be launched in the first months of next year, as it is for any particular consignment from Health for commissioning.
The new building constructed in the urbanization "The Scale" consists of two floors and a basement of over 1,000 square meters each, have an investment in its construction of 2,835,000 euros.
The Health Center "Totana-South" has 30 general practices and five Pediatrics, two dental offices, multipurpose room, extractions queries, cures, medicine less, a query to care for women and preparation childbirth, breastfeeding, physiotherapy, more maintenance units, staff, administration, among other agencies.
In total, more than 40 health professionals, including physicians, nurses, and administrative assistants, those who attend to the 15,400 users who are diverted to the new health facility in order to decongest existing today and that will force unfolding the health area.
Also, the mayor, accompanied by the mayor of Health, Eulalia Sandoval, moved to the Minister the need to sign the Agreement for the development of the home help service derived from the Law of the Unit or start up again the family program funding to address these situations that have a clear social risk.
