The educational community of Totana yesterday officially opened the school year 2013/14 in the course of an official event held at Centro Sociocultural "Jail", attended by regional and local authorities, teachers, directors of some schools, students and representatives of the AMPAS.
The event began with the representation of the play "Appetizer of the boy who married brave woman" by Alejandro Casona, by students in the second year of ESO Joint bilingual French and English from IES "Prado Mayor".
Then the director of IES intervened "Prado Mayor, Marisol Garcia, Mayor of Totana, Isabel Maria Sanchez, and the secretary general of the Ministry of Education, Universities and Employment Manuel Marcos Sánchez Cervantes on behalf of the regional government.
Policy makers agreed that education is the cornerstone underpinning society and highlighted that have been achieved over the years, and after much effort of teachers, parents and institutions, better educational facilities.
They also noted that the threshold requirement is not to advance in education and advocated continually work together to increase the quality of training and its extension more and more deeply.
We will not look the other way to recognize that we are in times of stress for the needs presented by different educational communities.
Policy makers and educational acknowledged the problems that are causing the wake of the economic crisis, so called for joint urgent and effective solutions.
The councilor said that the City "has been and will continue to be challenging with the regional government, even taking into consideration the current situation of adjustments we have."
The public representatives conveyed a message to teachers, principals and AMPAS full of gratitude, encouragement and hope to all, because "although they pose serious challenges, it is also true that we have great capabilities."
